Well, I thought I should share with you all some of the excitement of gilding and what I get up to during the days when I'm not making things with resin and silver!! Well largely at the moment I have been doing a lot of glass decoration aka Vere eglomise! Which basically means gilding onto the glass then drawing a design into the leaf. Hard to explain, hard to do and even harder to photograph!!! here it is... Me in gilding action (not exactly a high speed game!!) These are some tiny lozenges smaller than a leaf, so pretty simple to lay... although we will be doing 140 if the samples are liked by the client !! And the following are some finished eglomise sample pieces... mostly architectural Greek designs... Please excuse my hand in the reflections...! 'The leisure ladies' ... Bad Hannah!! Currently not well, full of flu and cold, blurgh so am using the time to update things and try to make some space on my laptop, doing other joyful things just as 'the books'...blurgh yet again, but at least i feel as though im being mildly productive at least. stary stary night!! Just Another little bloggy blog about my new star that I have listed to folksy. It has been a labour of love, all those different edges taking a fair amount of time to bring up to this find sand and polish. and here is the iccle stunner... and next I plan on telling you all about the book im reading......Oh my gosh, I cannot put it down, proper page turner, im off to read a chapter or two so i can get in the mood to tell you all about them :o) ttfn x

Currently working on some stone settings, an azurite setting and also setting one of my resin cubes for a feather lover Have really been enjoying them both as usual getting a bit bloomin snap happy Setting for the feather lover, a very special commission piece, which I'm taking far too much time over because I want it to be perfection. This one was for me :o)

A new range of sterling silver bowls capturing light in the hand mixed resin. Currently have designs in cuff links, drop earrings and earrings. there are designs for bracelets, rings and necklaces in the making. I'm very excited about it all :o) Here are some images of work in progress and some finished pieces. Almost finished ' captured ' studs, ranging from Large to small . 'swimming' and 'rock pool' two of the colour schemes. 'swimming' is light blue with swirls of sparkle. 'rock pool' captures shale in a light and breezy yellow/green shimmer. Also available will be bold lime greens, pretty pinks, pearly swirly and more! Last week I got a bit click happy and ended up ordering rather a lot of equipment Waahooo.... I AM justified in spending and ordering as I now don't have to wait for every fortnight to come around so that I can do some soldering! I can now do it all in my own workshop..phew. commissions were getting a bit long winded! However this clever spannah forgot to order the Flux!! Doh...but have now been given some to keep me going phew! Am now just waiting on my triblet as they didn't have any in stock when I ordered (how rude!) I got SO excited about it all i had it all delivered to work! and got a bhit snap happy on opening!! teehee
